Episode 62: Filet-O-Fish: It’s what’s for dinner!
Episode 62: Filet-O-Fish: It’s what’s for dinner! Join Tim and Gini as they discuss the main practices of Lent: prayer, fasting, and Filet-o-Fish. (Totally relevant editorial note: Wikipedia says that an alternative name for the Filet-O-Fish is the Fish-O-Filet, thereby proving that you cannot trust anything you read on the internet.)
Gini and Tim also mull over the connections between the story of the wandering Aramean and divisive American political and social discourse. (Spoiler Alert: Our foundational stories establish our identity as a people. The voices we leave out of those stories must be heard and incorporated into a new, more truthful narrative. Changing the narrative is threatening to the group that initially created the narrative.) There is so much to chew on in this episode! (See what I did there?) So dig in to your Filet-O-Fish and fries, sit back, and have a listen! We hope you enjoy it!
