Welcome to to our site! We are two Episcopal Priests who take God seriously but like to have a lot of fun. We discuss scripture. We laugh a lot. We love people. And we have a nefarious plan to help people see that God loves everyone!

I am a Priest who loves Jesus and the Holy Scripture but I do cuss a little. I am a former Higher Education Student Services Administrator, consultant, and lecturer in organizational leadership and human resources. I hold a BA in the lucrative field of Philosophy from Boise State University, a Master of Administration from Northern Arizona University, and a Master of Divinity from the Virginia Theological Seminary. I served my first call as Assistant Rector working under Gini at St. John's Episcopal Church in Georgetown, Washington DC. It was there we dreamed up and began recording The Irreverends. Today I serve as the 31st Rector of the 8th oldest Anglican Episcopal Parish in America, Trinity Church in Newport, RI.
I am married to the amazing Mtr. Tanya Watt, who serves as Priest-In-Charge a Trinity Church, Pawtuxet Village. We live with our dog Poppy, upon whom we lavish an absurd amount of affection as well as toys that meet their fate very quickly.
I most enjoy providing pastoral care and preaching, but I’ve found that I have a real knack for helping parishes become healthy. I spend an inordinate amount of personal time reading works in theology, liturgics, and Church history, and occasionally go on a science fiction binge. All of this geekery comes out in the podcast. I also enjoy college football, rooting for the Red Sox, fishing, cooking, baking sourdough bread. Finally, I am happy to drink coffee and beer with other people who might want to buy one for me.
