About Gini

Hello, my name is Gini Gerbasi

I used to think that what made me special was that I was smart. But then I went to law school and met some really smart people. Wisely, I married one of them, proving myself to be - if not the brains behind this or any operation - a gifted picker of great people. And I’m not so much funny as someone who laughs a lot. And loud. But you’ll figure that out soon enough. Over time, I have decided that what makes me different is that I am relentlessly joyful and optimistic, and I’m snarky and irreverent. And I love to swear, and I love God. And even though I am all of those things that don’t seem very holy or priest-like, God made me a priest anyway. It’s kind of hilarious.

I am a double graduate of William & Mary (BA and JD), and have my Master of Divinity (doesn’t that sound intimidating?) from Wesley Theological Seminary, where I actually did my homework (which is how my loved ones knew I was serious about becoming a priest). I am married to Joe Gerbasi, my former law school classmate, who is actually super funny even though he appears very serious at first. I am also mom to Mike (who is 27, engaged to the love of HIS life and working in his chosen field of sports management), and Andrew (who is 23, staff to a particularly fabulous cat, and runs an online business selling vintage T-shirts). I am also mom to Oliver, a ridiculously wacky orange cat who loves parkour, plastic springs, and little wool balls. I’m a lucky girl. No doubt about it.
