Hi There!

Welcome to to our site! We are two Episcopal Priests who take God seriously but like to have a lot of fun. We discuss scripture. We laugh a lot. We love people. And we have a nefarious plan to help people see that God loves everyone!

This week Gini welcomes guest host the Rev. Canon Becky Zartman for a look at the beginning of the love story of Isaac & Rebekah, and the metaphor in the Gospel of Matthew that inspired this week’s meme. It’s another deep dive into the stories of our Hebrew Bible patriarchs and matriarchs, and we are introduced to another courageous, powerful woman – Rebekah (Canon Zartman’s namesake!) We throw in some observations on marriage as an added bonus, AND you can even hear Hunter in the background!*

Tim will be back next week, and we’ll continue with these fascinating stories of our ancestral Biblical family. Enjoy!

*Note: No animals were harmed in the recording or editing of this episode. Truly, Hunter was not starving, but it took his human brother a REALLY long time to get all the way upstairs and rescue him from his misery.

And in case you didn’t notice it last week, Becky (who was a chaplain at Georgetown University until she moved to Texas) has a new book out. It’s called Belovedness: Finding God and Self on Campus, and it would make a perfect gift for your high school graduate or college student!

As always, the readings may be found at lectionarypage.net
